Three arrested in connection with alleged burglary at Bridge Street Subway station

Three men have been arrested in connection with a reported burglary at a Glasgow Subway station ticket office in the early hours of this morning.

The incident happened at around 1.10am at Bridge Street Subway station with British Transport Police attending the scene shortly after.

A spokesperson for the force also confirmed that the station remains closed this morning following the incident, with no members of the public permitted to enter.

However, the inner and outer circles are still running and other stations are open as usual.

In a statement to Glasgow Live, the force said: "British Transport Police were called to Bridge Street subway station, Glasgow, at 1.12am this morning (20 October) following reports of a burglary at the ticket office.

"Officers attended and three young men were arrested in connection at 1.51am. They have been taken to custody for questioning, where they remain.

"The station remains closed this morning while enquiries continue."
