Three arrested and charged after string of drugs raids across Tayside

Three men have been arrested and charged after a series of drug raids across Tayside.

Officers from Police Scotland stopped a 42-year-old man and found him in possession of £600 of crack cocaine, £260 of heroin, over 3,000 tablets, and other items related to distribution of drugs.

He was arrested and charged, and will appear at court at a later date after being stopped on Coupar Angus Road in Dundee at around 5am on July 21.

Later that day at 8:20am, a 52-year-old man was found under the influence of drugs in a car on Kinghorne Road, Dundee.

Police seized £3,200 worth of heroin from the motor.

He was arrested and charged and is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court.

A drugs search warrant was executed yesterday at a property in Camus Road, Arbroath.

Cops discovered £2,000 worth of cannabis, over £3,000 in cash and various other items related to the distribution of drugs.

A 27-year-old man was arrested and charged and will appear at court at a later date.

Another drugs search warrant was carried out at an address in Balmerino Road, Dundee.

Enquiries are continuing in relation to this.

Inspector Kat Thompson said: "The actions of our officers across Tayside supports our ongoing work to keep the community safe by tackling drug misuse.

"I urge anyone who has information relating to those involved in the sale and supply of drugs to report it to the police via 101.

"Or contacts Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
