Three arrested and bailed after car 'driven into man'

Three men have been arrested and bailed after a car was allegedly driven at someone in Westhoughton.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) say that the victim, a 42-year-old man, was then attacked, along with a 39-year-old woman.

The incident happened in Gorsey Hey on Tuesday afternoon (April 27).

Three man, aged 50, 34, and 29 have been arrested on suspicion of affray.

All three have been bailed pending further enquiries.

A GMP spokesman said: "At around 3.16pm on Tuesday 27 April 2021 police were called to a report of an altercation on Gorsey Hey, Westhoughton.

"Officers attended and following enquiries it was established that a man in a silver Toyota had driven into a 42-year-old man before attacking both the man and a 39-year-old woman. The victims injuries are not believed to be serious.

"Three men aged 50, 29 and 34 were arrested on suspicion of affray. They have all been bailed pending further enquiries."

A North West Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed that they attended but no patients were treated or taken to hospital.
