Three men have been arrested by gardai investigating the attempted theft of an ATM in Co Cavan earlier this month.
Gardai foiled an attempt to steal the ATM located beside the Riverfront Hotel on the main street of Virginia last Wednesday.
And officers investigating the incident carried out further searches in Co Meath yesterday evening.
They revealed that a "significant quantity of cash" has been recovered from the raid, although the exact amount has not yet been confirmed.

Two men in their 30s, one of whom has an address in Northern Ireland, were arrested following the searches and are currently being held at Kells Garda Station.
A 28-year-old man has also been detained for money laundering offences and is being held at Navan Garda Station.
A garda spokesman confirmed that investigations are still ongoing.
