Two arrested after alleged Glasgow murder bid in Possilpark

Two men have been arrested after an alleged attempted murder in Possilpark.

Police were called to a flat on Wester Common Road in the north of Glasgow at 9.40pm last night, where a man was found with injuries after an assault during a robbery attempt.

Later, at 11pm, officers made their way to an incident outside another flat on Wester Common Road where two men had been stabbed - both are currently described as being in a 'serious condition' in hospital.

Cops are treating this second incident as attempted murder, and two have have been arrested in connection with both incidents.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Glasgow Live: "At about 9.40pm on Monday night, Police were called to a flat on Wester Common Road, Possilpark. They discovered a 24-year-old man with minor injuries following an assault with intent to rob by two men.

"At 11.00pm, Police were called to an incident outside a flat on Wester Common Road and on arrival they discovered two men age 26 years with stab wounds. Both were taken to the GRI, they were treated by medical staff. Both remain in hospital at this time.

"Police are treating this second incident as attempted murder and two men have been arrested in connection with both incidents. Enquiries are continuing."
