Threave Rovers gaffer Vinnie Parker believes his squad is in good shape for the new season.
The Castle Douglas side were eight points behind Stranraer when the South of Scotland League was declared null and void, although they did have four games in hand.
And as pre-season preparations get under way, Parker believes the side is well placed for another title push.
He said: “We’ve got a lot of quality and I think we are stronger than we were last season.
“We’ve got a pretty loaded squad at the moment but that will naturally decline as the weeks go on.
“We have signed three, although their contracts aren’t up until July so I can’t say too much just now.
“I’d still like to add one or two. I’m looking to see who is let go by Queens or Annan and maybe bring in one or two from there.”
One player who won’t be playing at Meadow Park this season is Lewis Todd who is set to return to Dalbeattie Star after two years in Castle Douglas.
Threave began pre-season training on Saturday with things being ramped up further on Monday night.
Parker added: “We were in on Saturday, which was the first full contact session, and Monday was the start of pre-season proper.
“We have our first friendly a week on Saturday – we have a golf day this weekend then it’s into the games.
“We drip fed the non-contact stuff every second Saturday just so boys weren’t scunnered with it.
“The club has been great with us. They have given us everything we’ve asked for – new balls, new mannequins. The pitch was looking great on Saturday so the place had a real buzz about it.”
