Threave Rovers are aiming for a run in this season’s SFA South Region Challenge Cup.
They face familiar rivals Lochar Thistle on Saturday and are hoping to make it through to set up a tie against one of the big guns from the West, East or Lowland Leagues.
Boss Vinnie Parker said: “It’s a big cup and can throw up some decent draws.
“Unfortunately we’re not in the Scottish Cup so can’t bring big teams down to Meadow Park in that, but hopefully we can be successful against Lochar and get a decent tie in the next round.
“But Lochar are going to cause us serious problems as well.”
There is mixed news on the injury front for Threave, with Ryan Adamson and Ewan Gourlay back but Adam Uphill and Ross Green are out while Stuart Douglas and Liam Patterson are also missing.
