Threats to show intimate pictures

A man threatened to disclose intimate pictures of a woman to her friends and family during a four-day campaign of harassment.

Background reports have been ordered on 41-year-old Grzegorz Radajewski and he will be sentenced on April 17 after those reports have been obtained.

A prosecution move to have a Non-Harassment Order imposed, banning him from having future contact with her, was continued to the same date.

He admitted that on various occasions between March 16 and 20, 2018, at an address in Stanley, he engaged in a course of conduct which caused the woman “fear or alarm.”

He persistently contacted her - and attempted to contact her phone - placed calls to her and left voice messages which were abusive and threatening.

He then demanded to know her whereabouts and then threatened to send the explicit photographs.

He also attended at her home uninvited and shouted and swore at her.

The accused, of West Granton Road, Edinburgh, has no previous convictions.

Sheriff Keith O’Mahoney ordered a community justice social work report - and a restriction of libertry order assessment - before passing sentence.

The prosecution have been asked to provide details of the length of the proposed non-harassment order and its conditions.

Depute fiscal Matthew Kerr submitted a transcript of the messages which the accused sent to his ex.

The background to the offence will be given next month.

The accused’s bail was continued meantime.
