'Threatening and abusive' Scots thug launched early morning racist tirade

Police are hunting a racist thug following a shocking incident in Midlothian.

The man stood on a grassy area in Gorebridge and launched a racist tirade while acting in a “threatening and abusive” manner during the early morning disturbance.

The incident happened between 5.30am and 6am on Sunday morning on Hillside Crescent North.

He then headed off in the direction of Burnside Road before being lost to sight.

Now police are appealing for information from anyone who maybe able to help them track down the suspect.

He is described as being a white, slim build, aged late 20's to early 30's, quite tall and had short dark hair with a dark goatee beard and moustache.

He was wearing a dark jacket with a light coloured t-shirt underneath and dark trousers.

A Police Scotland statement read: "Anyone with any information should contact police on 101, quoting incident 0769 of 31st January 2021.

"Alternatively, anyone wishing to report their information anonymously can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
