Covid-ravaged St Mirren will take on Celtic this evening after their latest round of tests left them with just enough players to fulfil the fixture.
The Buddies had asked for tonight's clash with Celtic and their Boxing Day trip to Ibrox to take on Rangers to be postponed after a spate of positive cases of both players and coaching staff.

The SPFL knocked their plea back last night, as under their emergency rules games must go ahead as scheduled if any club still has enough players consisting of 13 outfield players and a goalkeeper.
Jim Goodwin's side were anxiously awaiting more test results this morning, with another positive case likely to leave them without enough players to take to the field.
The club have since learned that they still have sufficient players, mostly from their development squad, that can fill in to allow this evening's match to go ahead.

Sunday's trip to face Rangers does however still hang in the balance as Scottish clubs continue to debate whether or not to bring forward the winter break.
That is due to the huge increase in Omicron coronavirus cases and the subsequent restriction of crowd capacities to 500 that is set to kick in from Boxing Day.
