THQ Nordic and Nine Rocks Games have announced Next Hunting Adventure, a new open-world hunting game in development for PC via Steam. Set in the vast wilderness of North America, the upcoming title aims to deliver what the developers describe as their most authentic and technically advanced hunting experience to date. A release date has not yet been announced.
According to the game’s Steam page, Next Hunting Adventure is being positioned as a long-term platform rather than a one-and-done release. Nine Rocks Games says the project builds on its previous experience in the genre, along with extensive player feedback, with the intention of supporting the game through ongoing updates and expansions.
In Next Hunting Adventure, players explore large outdoor environments inspired by the Canadian wilderness, tracking and hunting a wide range of wildlife. Big game such as moose, elk, bears, and bison will be featured alongside smaller animals like rabbits, turkeys, and other birds. The developers emphasize realism and immersion, with over 10 real-world brand partners contributing licensed firearms, optics, and hunting equipment to the game.

Narrative elements will play a role as well. In one of the game’s regions, New Laurentia, players will work alongside NPCs such as a dog trainer and a local warden while investigating unusual behavior among the moose population.
An announcement teaser trailer is available now, offering an early look at the game’s environments and tone. Next Hunting Adventure is currently planned for PC, with more details expected to be revealed at a later date.
