Thousands without power after major ESB fault in Meath

Over 2,500 household have no power after a major ESB fault in Meath.

Electricians are currently working hard to repair the fault which has left 2,511 customers without electricity in the Baltransa area near Ashbourne and Ratoath.

The power clocked out at 6.52pm and is expected to be back around 8pm.

ESB apologised to customers and said they're working to restore it as soon as they can.

They said: "We apologise for the loss of supply. We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible."
