Over 44,000 people from across the country have shared an appeal to trace the owners of a female Jack Russell terrier.
The dog was thrown from a moving car in Bradford and the RSPCA, now investigating the incident, believe she was stolen.
It happened in the BD4 area of Bradford, though it is understood she could belong to someone from a different area.
The Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford and District branch of the RSPCA says it has had hundreds of people come forward offering to re-home her, although this won't happen for at least 28 days, and while they continue the search for the owner.
In the post on Facebook, it read: "We are currently searching for the owners, as we believe she may have been stolen and then dumped.
"She is not currently available for rehoming, as we have to wait 28 days from entry.
"We will post an update on her when we have any news. For now, please keep sharing and hopefully we will find the owners."
