Thousands set to flock to Dublin pilot music festival

Thousands of music lovers will be attending the first-ever music festival in over a year in Dublin.

The pilot music festival will see a whopping 3,500 people in attendance as a number of big-name artists including Gavin James, Denise Chaila, Wild Youth, Sharon Shannon, Lyra, and Wyvern Lingo will be taking to the stage.

The festival will start at 3 pm on the grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

Gig goers will be divided into viewing pods with a maximum of six people to a pod.

They will be required to maintain a minimum of 2m social distancing and wear a face covering when moving about outside of their ticketed pods.

Ticket holders will be required to undergo an antigen test from the test centre at Collins Barracks prior to the event.

If they receive a positive result, they will be unable to attend and will be entitled to a full refund.

The event is open to people aged 18 and over and an ID is required.

This music festival is one of a series of pilot cultural and sporting events taking place in June and July.
