Thousands raised in tribute to Maybole woman Meg Jess

Meg Jess passed away in 2013, aged just 41.

Since then, the Jess family has organised a series of fundraising events to help raise funds for the Brian Tumour Charity.

And their latest fundraising night helped raise a sensational £4303.17 which will now go directly to the Brain Tumour Charity.

The cheque presentation took place at SAS International, Maybole, with Meg’s mum Angela, dad Andy, along with other members of the Jess family, in attendance.

Mum Angela said: “The Jess family would once again like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to everybody that supported us and helped make our charity event such a success.

“Our total this year is a fantastic £4303.17, going to the Brain Tumour Charity in memory of our adored youngest daughter Meg, who sadly passed away in December 2013.”

Angela added: “Last but not least we’d like to thank our granddaughter Angela who got her beautiful long hair cut and gave her donations to our total and her hair to the Little Princess Trust.

“And thank you to Jacqueline Martin for cutting Angela’s hair.

“Also a big thanks you to our wonderful granddaughter Demi for all her help.”
