Close to £3,000 has been raised for the funeral of a young Scots mum who died in a car crash.
We told how a blue Vauxhall Corsa crashed on the A94 Coupar Angus to Forfar road, near Ardler on Sunday afternoon.
The 23-year-old passenger of the motor, who tragically died after emergency crews rushed to the scene, has been named locally as Rebecca Sivyer from Perth.
Tributes have flooded in for the much-loved Rebecca, with her devastated mum describing her late daughter as 'always happy'.
A fundraiser has now also been launched by Rebecca's best friend Danny Black to raise funds to cover the cost of her funeral.
Some of the money raised is also set to be put aside to be given to Rebecca's daughter 'when she is older'.
Her pal described the tragic mum as the 'most kind-hearted soul' and said she will never be forgotten by loved ones.
A message on the GoFundMe page read: "Tragically on the 22nd of August my best friend sadly passed away, leaving behind loads of friends and an amazing family, and a beautiful daughter Millie.
"I wanted to make this to raise funds for any costs etc for a funeral or even some money for Millie to have when she’s is older.
"Any donation will help. Rebecca was the most kind-hearted soul and I will never ever forget her. I hope you’re at peace you gorgeous girl."
Rebecca was hailed as 'an amazing friend' and 'lovely girl' who was 'always smiling'.
One wrote: "Absolutely gutted.
"She was such an amazing friend.
"She always made me feel welcome.
"I'm going to miss this girl so much.
"RIP Rebecca Sivyer."
Just over £2,900 has already been raised for the grieving family since the fundraiser was launched a day ago as donations pour in.
One person wrote: "So sorry for everyone affected by this tragedy. RIP."
Another added: "Absolutely heartbreaking."
