Thousands of pounds have been raised for a dad-of-three who was mysteriously found injured in Liverpool city centre.
Robert Fitzpatrick flew to Liverpool from his home city of Dublin on Thursday to go to the Grand National on Saturday.
The 42-year-old was discovered just hours later on the Strand with a mysterious head injury and was rushed to hospital.
No one knows what happened to Robert, who is now in a high dependency unit, hundreds of miles from his family, with swelling to his brain and two shattered eye sockets, Dublin Live reports.
Robert's friend, in an attempt to support his family while he is in hospital, has set up a GoFundMe page to help them travel to be with him.
The page, which was set up at the weekend, has since smashed its fundraising goal, with over £5,000 being raised.
The page, created by Gerrard Cahill, reads: "For those of you wondering what the circumstances are surrounding the page, Robbie travelled to Liverpool for the Aintree Festival.

And it was around 40 minutes later he was found, by paramedics, with serious head injuries - outside the laser eye clinic, opposite the Royal Liver Building.
