Thousands of Tesco Clubcard vouchers set to expire in weeks - how to find missing points

Tesco Clubcard holders are being urged to cash in on their vouchers before they expire.

The supermarket loyalty scheme can be an effective way to get a little cashback on your shopping during the cost of living crisis.

Those who have a Tesco Clubcard earn points each time they shop at the store - both online and offline- or by using the supermarket’s petrol stations.

You earn one point for every £1 spent on regular goods or £2 on petrol - and you need a minimum of 150 points per collection period to get a voucher.

If you have 150 points, that would amount to £1.50 to spend in stores.

The supermarket has over 100 reward partners where the value is boosted by to three times that of stores and petrol stations.

This means that a £10 voucher could be turned into £30 with a number of partners.

This includes brands such as: Pizza Express, Cineworld, Disney +, Hotel.com, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, English Heritage, the RAC and Chef & Brewer pub chain.

However, no matter how many points you have, they all expire within two years from the date they were issued.

Vouchers that were issued in August 2020 will need to be used up by the end of next month.

The exact date they will expire by is August 31, 2022.

Tesco Clubcard vouchers are issued every three months, in February, May, August and November.

Customers can manage their vouchers on both Tesco’s website or using the app, whether than be trading them in or checking how many you have and when they expire.

Having said this, Martin Lewis ’ Money Saving Expert has reported a hack that can be one way to delay the points from expiring.

By making a small purchase on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards website, you’ll get the remaining points credited back to your account.

For example, if you had £10 worth of points and you buy a 50p Pizza Express voucher, the remaining £9.50 will go back to your account instead of expiring - renewing for another two years.

If you don’t have a Tesco Clubcard, you can sign up here.

As well as the voucher reward systems, shoppers can also get discounts on selected items.

How to track down lost Clubcard vouchers

You can check if you have forgotten vouchers by logging into the Tesco Clubcard website with your account details.

Once you are logged in, click on “my Clubcard account” and then “vouchers” and you should see a table listing the vouchers you still have to spend.

You can spend any leftover vouchers online straight away, or print them out from home if you would rather use them in store.
