Thousands of people dreaming of owning incredible Limerick home with stunning inside feature

Are you in the market for your dream home? Then you may want to take a look at this gorgeous estate that has gone up for sale has a particularly unique feature that dates from the 18th Century; a limekiln.

Heathfield Castle in Ballinrune, Kilmeedy, Co. Limerick is a five-Bed, two-Bath, 325m detached home surrounded by an acre of carefully landscaped and secluded gardens.

Described by sellers as a “very imposing and exceptionally attractive detached residence”, the property is said to be the product of years of work in collaboration with landscape and interior designers to lovingly appoint the rustic home.

“[The property] is situated in the heart of Ballinruane Wood approached by a tree lined avenue off the West Limerick scenic drive, a short distance from Adare and Limerick City,” a description on Daft reads.

The property boasts a particularly unique and historic feature around which a central room of the home is built; a limekiln, which is at the centre of a reception room leading in from the home’s main entrance.

A limekiln is a kiln used for the calcination of limestone (calcium carbonate) to produce the form of lime called quicklime (calcium oxide). Quicklime, when mixed with stone, makes mortar, which was used for building in Ireland throughout the 18th and 19th centuries.

A limekiln from the 18th Century has been incorporated into the design of the home.

The reception room features travertine chisel-effect marble floor and the internal walls feature a natural sandstone finish to match the original sandstone of the limekiln, which has been partially converted into a fireplace with a solid fuel stove.

Other features in the house include a jacuzzi bath, a BBQ area that is wired for hot tub installation, electric gates with a TV intercom, a golf driving range, a wine cellar and professionally landscaped gardens and waterfall.

The sale is by private treaty, and no price is publicly provided as it depends on offers received. So, if you are interested, get your bids in.

And over 13,000 people have already viewed it so you might have to be quick.
