Thousands of pounds in cash, stolen items and an uninsured vehicle were seized yesterday in Birkenhead.
Police stopped an uninsured and unlicensed driver whose vehicle was later seized and detained a man with an outstanding warrant as part of a drive against organised crime in the area.
Eduart Capja, 36, of no fixed abode, who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, was arrested as part of the Day of Action by Wirral's policing team in Birkenhead.
Cash totalling around £2,000 and a number of stolen items were also seized during the operation.
Merseyside Police said they were conducting the operation in Harrowby Road in Birkenhead yesterday, Tuesday May 4, as part of their ongoing OpTarget activities to reduce serious violence and organised crime in the area.
In a post shared on social media, police said: "We have spoken to plenty of residents who visited the mobile Police station to discuss some concerns they have around drug supply and ASB in the area.

"We have seized a vehicle being used by an un-insured and un-licenced driver there, arrested another male for an outstanding Court warrant and also seized some stolen property from him along with £2000 cash recovered under the Proceeds of Crime Act."
Merseyside Police also appealed for help from local residents as part of the drive in the area to reduce violent offences and organised crime, asking people to report any information about crimes anonymously to @CrimeStoppers UK.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police has confirmed 36 year old Eduart Capja of no fixed abode was due to appear in Wirral Remand Court today after being charged in relation to an outstanding warrant.
