A Leeds mum who was diagnosed with terminal cancer has been flooded with donations to help pay for alternative treatment to relieve the symptoms.
Leanne Mallory, 34, is a mum to six children and lives in Seacroft. In September last year she was diagnosed with an aggresive form of stomach cancer which soon spread to her abdomen.
When doctors tried to operate to remove her stomach, they realised the cancer had already spread. Not even chemotherapy was an option as it would be potentially fatal.
She was told she had just weeks to live.
"I'm not ready to quit. I have six beautiful kids I need to keep fighting for", Leanne told LeedsLive.
Since last speaking to Leanne just seven days ago, donations to her cause have tripled, from under £1000 to nearly £4000.
The 34-year-old turned to cannabis oil to use as an alternative medicine, however it costs £375 for a small 15ml syringe - which prompted the doting mum to set up the GoFundMe page asking for £5,000.
"I'm hoping there is still some faith left in the human life and that you will help me on my journey," Leanne said.
"I would be ever so grateful if you lovely people could help. Even if it's £1."
A fundraising event has now been set up to help support Leanne and her six children.
'I would never be able to thank everyone enough'
"I could cry", Leanne added.
"It's amazing how people have pulled together to try help - people I don't even know and wouldn't if I passed them in street.
"I would never be able to thank everyone enough or put into words how truly grateful I am."
