Thousands affected as power goes out in Coolock

Thousands of people have been affected by a late night power outage in Coolock.

The power was lost at around 11pm this evening, and is not expected to return until 1am at the earliest.

Drivers in the area have been warned to be careful as the outage has led to street lighting and traffic signals turning off.

ESB Networks said: "We apologise for the loss of supply. We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible."
