Thousands of Vodafone customers were left pulling their hair out tonight as the telecommunications giant suffered lengthy interruptions to its services.
On Twitter, Vodafone admitted to "experiencing interruptions on some of our data services."
A spokesperson added that the company's technical teams were "working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible."
Many Vodafone customers were left frustrated this evening amid reports of internet outages and phoneline problems.
On Twitter, one wrote that their Friday evening was "basically on pause" as a result of the problems, among a slew of complaints from members of the public.
Many were raging given that today is both the evening of the Late Late Toy Show and Black Friday – when many rely on fast internet to snap up good deals on products online.
One affected customer said they couldn't get through to a Vodafone helpline on the phone, writing that the situation was "ridiculous."
One said they were waiting over two hours before their internet was restored.
