AGRA: UP deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma has said that those who don’t chant slogans of "Bharat Mata ki jai" will be dubbed as "Pakistanis".
Sharma, who was in Aligarh to attend an event on Tuesday, narrated a story to prove his point. He said, "Two of the three persons once caught on suspicion of being terrorists turned out to be Hindustani after they joined a constable in raising the slogan of 'Bharat Mata ki jai'. He said the third person who did not raise the slogan turned out to be a Pakistani 'and the real culprit".
Addressing a public meeting, he said "migration" will not take place across any UP cities henceforth. "The government will use the whip (chabuk) if anyone tries to force people to migrate. Strict action will be taken against those who try to create trouble," he said, claiming that not a single such incident had been reported during the BJP rule in the last four and half years.
This comes days after sedition charges were slapped against three Kashmiri students at an Agra college for celebrating Pakistan's victory against India in a recent T-20 world cup cricket match. Days after that CM Yogi Adityanath had said sedition charges would be invoked against those cheering for Pakistan.
