Thorpe Park's annual pass deal means you only need to visit twice to make a saving

Current lockdown in rules in England don't allow for trips to theme parks right now, but Thorpe Park has a tempting deal for the day when thrill-seekers can ride its rollercoasters again.

The theme park is currently offering annual passes for £99pp for entry for 12 months. With on-the-day gate tickets costing £50pp, that means pass holders would only need to visit twice to get their money's worth.

It's worth noting that if you book an advanced ticket online prices are £35 for day tickets - but you'd still only need three trips to the resort to make for a saving.

Annual passes can also provide more bang for your buck as they're not just offering year-round entry, but heaps of other perks too such as free parking, discounts on shops, and access to 'Bring a friend for less' ticket deals on selected dates.

There are also discounts to be had on Thorpe Park short breaks if you live a little further afield and want an overnight stay (government guidance allowing, of course).

You can already book the discounted annual passes online on thorpepark.com/tickets but it's worth noting that the deal is on for a limited time.

The pass grants the holder entry for 12 months, although there are 15 dates excluded from this; April 2-5, May 29-31, August 28-30 and October 30-31.

At the time of writing, Thorpe Park is currently closed. However this isn't due to the pandemic - the theme park closes between November and March every year due to the winter weather.

The resort has said that it plans to re-open to the public from March 27, subject to government guidance.

England is currently under a national lockdown which includes a ban on non-essential travel. It's hoped that restrictions will start being eased in March, with schools planned for a potential reopening on March 8.
