Thornwood Bar launches weekly Mac and Cheese Club

The Thornwood bar is serving up something a bit special for mac and cheese fans of Glasgow (that's most of you then).

The much-loved Partick pub and eatery, which reopened after a £275k refurbishment last March, has launched a Monday Mac Club, meaning all dishes featuring the meal of cheesy goodness will available for £5.

The new menu option will include all of the Macaroni cheese options usually available throughout the rest of the week (as well as veggie choices) and it will include a mug of fries or two big slabs of garlic bread to boot.

Bosses say: "The idea is simple, come in on a Monday night and order a macaroni and you receive a mac loyalty card, buy six macs and the seventh is absolutely free."

You'll be able to choose from a range of mac and cheese plates including Scottish macs (with haggis or veggie haggis), Mexican macs with beef or veg and a five-bean chilli.

The new event started at the Dumbarton Road venue last Monday, and judging by its popularity, you're advised to head along and check it out!

Thornwood bosses added: "We were so busy for the first one we very nearly ran out of macaroni for the first time ever."

The Monday Mac Club takes place every week from 5pm - 9pm.
