Thornliebank disturbance: man dead following late night incident in Glasgow's south side

A man has died following an incident in Glasgow’s south side late last night.

Police Scotland were called to Roukenburn Street in Thornliebank around 10.20pm on Thursday (April 18), reports The Sun .

A 33-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, and his death is being treated as suspicious .

Officers remain in the area today (Friday) and a post mortem will be carried out to establish the exact cause of death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of a 33-year-old man seriously injured following a disturbance in Roukenburn Street. Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"A post mortem examination will take place to establish the exact cause of death, which officers are treating as suspicious at this time.

"Enquiries are at an early stage to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
