Thor: Ragnarok star ‘99 per cent sure’ her character will not appear in forthcoming sequel

Thor: Ragnarok actor Rachel House has said that she believes her character Topaz “will not be seen again”.

House starred as Topaz, the head of the Sakaaran Guards and personal bodyguard to the Grandmaster (played by Jeff Goldblum) in the 2017 blockbuster. Her character met a grim demise at the end of the movie.

Although characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been resurrected in the past, House appears certain that Topaz will not be returning for the next instalment in the superhero franchise Thor: Love and Thunder.

“I think she’s gone-rs, I do,” she told The Movie Dweeb. “I’m almost 100 per cent sure that Topaz will not be seen again.”

House added: “I’m about 99.9 per cent sure that I will not be in the next Thor.”

The actor went on to praise the movie’s director Taika Waititi as “brilliant.” House and Waititi have previouly worked together on three of the fillmaker’s other features, including Hunt for the Wilderpeople and Boy.

Thor: Love and Thunder will be the fourth instalment in the franchise, following on from 2011’s Thor , 2013’s Thor: The Dark World, and  2017’s Thor: Ragnarok

The forthcoming film will see a number of stars reprise their roles, including Chris Hemsworth in the titular part, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster – this time wielding the hammer after developing powers of her own.

Oscar winner and DC alum Christian Bale is set to make his Marvel debut as the film’s villain, Gorr the God Butcher.

The movie is set to begin production in Australia this month, with Waititi returning as director. It is currently set for release in February 2022.
