Thomas Tuchel told he has a new undroppable after what Chelsea star did vs Norwich City

Some Chelsea supporters feel Callum Hudson-Odoi deserves a run of games in the first team now following his performance against Norwich City.

The 20-year-old winger made just his third start of the season against the Canaries and marked the occasion with a goal in the first-half, with the Blues scoring seven without reply at Stamford Bridge.

Hudson-Odoi was strongly linked with a move away from the club over the summer transfer window, with German duo Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich said to be interested in the English winger, but he chose to stay and fight for his place in west London.

Thomas Tuchel opened up on the youngster's future at Chelsea over the summer, saying in August: “It’s his decision and nothing to do with my opinion or the club’s.

“If I speculate a little bit I think it is about disappointment that he is not nominated for the first team, but at the same time maybe he did not have enough minutes to be nominated for the first team.

“I could see the upgrade in having some minutes and being in a leading role for the under-21s, but he decided differently so he will deal with the consequences.”

Chelsea fans, when taking to social media following Hudson-Odoi's performance against Norwich, believe Tuchel should now hand the winger a run of matches and become his latest undroppable.

Tuchel, when speaking to the media after the match, was very complimentary of Hudson-Odoi, but did call on the winger to perform like that on a more consistent basis.

The Chelsea boss said: "Good, he had a good game. He played well against Malmo and had a good game today but there are still things to improve and to work on.

"Now it is on him. It is like I said before the game, he needs to show that he is able to produce performances like this consistently and now is the time to show. Next opportunity will be Tuesday."
