Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has detailed how incoming Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick helped to push him into management.
Rangnick is set to take charge of United until the end of the season following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's dismissal - and it seems he's already made an impact in the Premier League.
Tuchel, who led Chelsea to Champions League victory last season following his mid-season arrival at Stamford Bridge, has attributed his move into coaching upon the incoming United boss.
"He helped me a lot because he was my coach and then one of the main figures to convince me to try coaching," he said ahead of this weekend's match between the two clubs.
"He was a huge influence on all of us at this time because he showed us it's not important to follow people to the toilet in games, people felt defenders followed the strikers in games.
"Before I get carried away and talk too much, he isn't appointed yet. So let's respect everybody."
United go toe-to-toe with Chelsea in the Premier League this weekend, though Rangnick will not be in the dugout for that match.
Should Rangnick secure a work permit without a hitch, his first game as manager of United will come next weekend against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
That could be crucial for the top-four battle, with the Gunners currently holding a three-point advantage in the battle for Champions League football.
Should results go against United this weekend, that could stretch to as much as six points before Rangnick's first game at the club..
