Thomas Tuchel 'set for £150m transfer warchest' as Chelsea eye Erling Haaland

Chelsea will hand Thomas Tuchel a £150m transfer budget this summer as he continues to eye Erling Haaland.

The German has performed impressively since being appointed in west London.

Tuchel could yet deliver two trophies, one of which being the Champions League.

But he is working with a squad he inherited from Frank Lampard and wants to put his own stamp on things.

A prolific frontman is very much a priority this summer with Roman Abramovich set to spend big for the second successive summer, reports the Sun.

Tammy Abraham, despite being the club's joint top scorer, has struggled for minutes since Tuchel's arrival.

Olivier Giroud, now 34, looks set to move on this summer whilst Timo Werner is still not scoring at the rate necessary.

Haaland is being tracked by several of Europe's top sides despite Borussia Dortmund insisting he will not be sold.

The German club's CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke, has again reiterated that the forward will be at the club next season.

"I have the clear expectation that Erling Haaland will play for us next year," he told Sport Bild. "And I don't waste any thoughts on anything else."

The Norwegian has a release clause that will kick in next summer meaning Dortmund can name their price up until then.

Last summer the Germans dug their heels in when Manchester United came knocking for Jadon Sancho - and Watzke is expecting a repeat.

He added: "I am just totally relaxed. Nobody believed us with Jadon Sancho last summer until deadline day, and he's still with us today."

Haaland has scored 55 times in 57 games for Dortmund.

Chelsea are also keeping tabs on Inter Milan's Romelu Lukaku, who formerly played at Stamford Bridge before he was sold to Everton.
