Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has set his sights on the Champions League and the FA Cup as he thinks winning the Premier League is "not realistic".
The former Paris Saint-Germain boss got his Blues managerial career off to a luke-warm start as they failed to break down Wolves in a goalless game at Stamford Bridge last night.
Chelsea had 79% of the possession but didn't do nearly enough with it and only had five shots on target from 14 attempts overall.
Under old boss Frank Lampard, Chelsea conceded 77 goals in 57 Premier League, so they will take heart from keeping a clean sheet this time around.
However, they still sit eight in the Premier League and are five points off West Ham in fourth.
Ahead of their game against Burnley, who came from 2-1 down to beat Aston Villa 3-2 last night, on Sunday, Tuchel was asked about his priorities for the season.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss said he knows exactly what is expected of him in his role.
"The club made it very clear, Chelsea is about results," he said. "We always try to bring [a good] performance, develop players, improve players, increase their value as well as [maintain] strong performances.
"In the end, I am very realistic, I am in a club whose DNA is to win. I am here to challenge for every trophy we play for.
"This year it is the Champions League and FA Cup, for the Premier League it is not realistic."
The German also explained why he chose Chelsea over other clubs.
"Why not? It was the opportunity with one of the biggest clubs in the world in the most competitive leagues in the world," he continued.
"We felt like we should absolutely not miss the chance to join the Chelsea family. It was a pretty easy choice."
Despite a fairly uninspiring performance against Wolves, Tuchel said there was plenty to build on.
"I don't see too many weaknesses," Tuchel added.
"I will focus on our strengths, the mix is amazing of the team between experienced players, big personalities and young, hungry talent.
"I'm used to creating the special energy and atmosphere you need to create the possibility to win every three days in a league like this.
"We will build a team that nobody wants to play against."
