Thomas Tuchel is prepared to shake-up his Chelsea tactics in order to unleash Romelu Lukaku in a new formation this season.
Lukaku, 28, completed a £97.5million transfer from Inter Milan to the Blues last week and strengthens an already-formidable attack at Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel is blessed with many options up front and in wide areas including Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech.
The German manager typically uses a 3-4-2-1 formation which limits the number of attackers he can deploy, but he says he is willing to trial a two-man strike force following Lukaku's arrival.

"Every player wants to have a regular position he can fight for," said Tuchel.
"I know this very well, but at the same time it can be also a huge advantage to be able to play in more than one position, because then you can be the alternative for more minutes. So there’s an upside and a downside.
"I’m very happy with Timo, Christian and Kai because they have put a lot of effort and intensity into the team.
"With the addition of Romelu. We get the number-one striker and we want to have him on the pitch. This is very clear.
"If you do this kind of transfer, we are absolutely sure we want to have him on the pitch, but I think he will lift the pressure off the shoulders of the young guys, from Kai, Timo and Christian, because Romelu is the kind of personality who loves responsibility.

"I think we have now with Romelu the chance also to play with two strikers, like they did at Inter with him, or to continue with three strikers.
"We will see now how this works out and we will find a solution for the players around him."
Lukaku enjoyed fantastic success at Inter while partnering Lautaro Martinez up front, with the pair managing 78 league goals between them during two seasons together.
The Belgium international was named Serie A most valuable player after firing the Nerazzurri to the title last term with 24 goals in 36 games.
Lukaku is set to join Chelsea training on Tuesday after a quarantine period following his arrival in the United Kingdom from Italy.
This means the former Manchester United and Everton striker is in contention to face London rivals Arsenal on Sunday.
