Thomas Tuchel has spoken about what it means to win the Champions League with Chelsea.
Tuchel has guided the Blues to their second Champions League success after a 1-0 win against Manchester City, with Kai Havertz scoring the only goal of the game in Porto.
It was a superb performance from the Blues as they limited City to just one shot on target during the whole game, with Tuchel and Chelsea getting the better of Pep Guardiola for the third time in recent months, after victories in the FA Cup semi-final and in the Premier League.
And Tuchel has spoken of his delight at winning the trophy that eluded him last year, when he was in charge of Paris Saint-Germain, who lost to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.
Speaking to BT Sport, he said: “To share it with everybody is incredible. What a fight, we made it 1-0 but I don’t know what to feel actually.
“I was so grateful to arrive anyway, to arrive the second time, but it felt different. We somehow, we could feel it and I’m happy.
“Today, they were deserving to win this. We wanted to be the stone in the shoe, the stone in the clockwork of Man City. We encouraged everyone to step out, go for duels one-on-one.
"We were great and had some dangerous counter-attacks, had some opportunities. The second-half was a real fight.
“That was a massive moment [with Christian Pulisic] that could have been 2-0 then we had to defend.
"It was very intense, very fast, the circumstances.”
