Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel issued a defiant response to the suggestion that his side are no longer in the title race.
The west London club lost 1-0 to Premier League leaders Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday.
That means they now trail Pep Guardiola’s side by 13 points.
Chelsea currently occupy second spot, but Liverpool are just a point behind in third and have two games in hand.
However, Tuchel refused to concede that their title hopes are over despite City’s huge advantage.
When pressed in his post-match press conference if Chelsea were now in a race to secure a top-four finish, instead of competing with City and Jurgen Klopp's Reds, he delivered a blunt rebuttal.

"Why should we not look to Liverpool? Why should we look anyway?
"if you listen carefully to everything that we’ve said, the only thing where we look is us, and the only thing where I look is Tuesday [against Brighton], because funnily enough we play Tuesday when the next game is Sunday, so we need to be ready on Tuesday.
"I have no time to lose my energy looking at the fixtures or the table. I don’t understand the question."
Chelsea travel to Brighton on Tuesday, but could drop down to third if Liverpool win or draw against Brentford on Sunday.
