Thomas Tuchel has been handed a fresh Christian Pulisic problem at Chelsea

Christian Pulisic admits he would like to represent the U.S.A at this summer's Olympic Games but appreciates the final decision will be down to Chelsea.

The winger has been a member of the USMNT since the age of 17 years old and has won 34 caps for his country. He hasn't, however, played for the U.S. in their Olympic qualifiers as the Blues do not have to release the 22-year-old for those fixtures.

Pulisic would be eligible to play for Team USA were they to qualify for the Olympics, which runs from July 21 to August 7.

However, the competition would cause him to miss most of Chelsea's pre-season campaign and, as a result, the Blues will have the final say over the matter.

Chelsea's Stars Performance Under Thomas Tuchel Graded

“The Olympics is of course a massive honour to play in, and to represent your country in an Olympics would be amazing,” Pulisic said, according to ProSoccerTalk.

“I am fully supporting the guys in qualifying now. It is something I’ve thought about and that I’ve wanted to play in.

"Obviously I can’t control exactly what goes on and what is best for me at the time and the team at the time, I can’t say. But it is something that I would like to play in.”

Pulisic has struggled for form this season with Chelsea. The American missed the start of the campaign due to the hamstring injury sustained during last year's FA Cup final and missed six further matches between September and November.

He has, however, been fit since the middle of December but hasn't been able to replicate the performances displayed during Project Restart last term.

Pulisic has struck just twice for the Blues in all competitions this season and has only registered two assists.
