Thomas Tuchel has already made Jack Grealish admission as Chelsea linked with hijacking transfer

Thomas Tuchel is reportedly keen on bringing Aston Villa captain and England star, Jack Grealish, to Stamford Bridge this summer and is ready to hijack Manchester City’s £100million move for the 25-year-old.

The Premier League champions have been favourites for his signature since the transfer saga started, but their move is now said to be under threat after Chelsea reportedly joined the race for his signature.

In addition to having a fantastic individual season for Villa, where he scored six goals and provided 10 assists, Grealish became one of the nation’s favourites after several important cameos from the bench for Gareth Southgate’s England at Euro 2020.

Tuchel is looking to build on Chelsea’s Champions League triumph in May by competing with City for the major domestic honours, including the Premier League – a trophy the club haven’t lifted since 2017.

And according to TuttoMercatoWeb, Grealish is seen as the ideal man to take Chelsea forward as the Blues try to meddle with City’s deal.

Although that seems surprising, it may actually make a fair bit of sense, especially considering what Tuchel said about Grealish ahead of his side’s final match of the Premier League season against Villa in May.

Chelsea’s boss admitted that Villa are a far better side with him in it, and when he is part of their attack, they are difficult to control.

"Look at the statistics! Aston Villa with and without him are different teams,” Tuchel told Sky Sports.

"He is involved in almost every offensive situation. He is very good at decision-making.

"He has a lot of composure in assisting, finishing and bringing people around him in top situations, dangerous situations to be able to score.

"He is a top player and [there is] a lot to take care of and be aware of to control him on Sunday. What he does in the future is in his hands."

It’s fair to say that the German is a huge admirer of Grealish, so if Chelsea can beat City to his signature, we can expect to see a lot of him in blue.
