Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has described Timo Werner's performance for Chelsea against Manchester United as "really poor".
The 25-year-old forward has been sidelined for over a month due to an injury he picked up in October's Champions League win against Malmo at Stamford Bridge, but he returned to the Blues side for the 1-1 draw with Man United on Sunday.
Werner, who has scored just three goals in all competitions so far this season, had a few opportunities to score in west London, but the German could not find a way past David De Gea.
Hasselbaink, who knows a thing or two about scoring goals for Chelsea, has slammed the Germany international for not being clinical enough.
When asked about Werner on Sky Sports, Hasselbaink replied: "Poor, really poor. On the ball, off the ball, the runs, normally he is sharp but at the end of the day, you are a No.9 and you will be judged on your opportunities and what you do with them.
"But he keeps on missing big chances, whether it is 0-0, 1-0, 1-1 - you have to put them away."
The point means it is now two draws in three Premier League matches for Thomas Tuchel and his side, but the Chelsea boss insisted he was happy with what he saw from his team against Man United.
However, Tuchel did admit that his side needed to find the first goal - something they failed to do, with Jadon Sancho opening the scoring in the second period after a mistake from Jorginho.
"Happy to coach the team I saw a huge effort with so many ball recoveries in the opponent half," the Chelsea boss said to Sky Sports after the match.
"We controlled the counter-attacks and we were brave. They defended deep and maybe you need the first goal. If you don’t you always run a bit behind because you feel that you’re the stronger team.
"We had big chances we should have used but were generally really happy because I like the way we played. I was happy with our aggression and rhythm we defended with intensity.
"I was a bit surprised with so many high ball recoveries we didn’t make the most out of clear chances but we were consistently producing.
"You don’t need a back four or five against two strikers so we put Reece (James) on the left side for more offensive power.
"Could’ve worked out but okay we have to live with it. We cannot be surprised things like this happen when we invest so much and feel disappointed because we feel we did enough and pushed the limits but over a long season you drop points and dig in and try to steal them back so this is what we do so don’t count the points we are in the middle of the race and this is where we want to be."
