Thomas Partey to Manchester United? Rio Ferdinand gives Ole Gunnar Solskjaer FIVE new transfer targets

Rio Ferdinand has given Manchester United five new transfer targets as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to refresh his squad.

Standard Sport understands United are interested in both Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish, with the club also holding long-standing interest in Harry Kane should the Tottenham striker become available.

United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward warned last week that it "won't be business as usual" for the club in the transfer market due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But Ferdinand has a list of five new faces which Solskjaer should target.

"I'd maybe go get [Thomas] Partey from Atletico Madrid or [Wilfred] Ndidi from Leicester," Ferdinand said on The Beautiful Game podcast.

"I like Saul Niguez. He’s a very, very good player in midfield."

He added: "And then a centre-back, they still need a centre-back.

"Whether you go for a young one like a Ben Godfrey or someone like [Kalidou] Koulibaly. I don’t know, it’s difficult."
