Thomas Partey release clause revealed amid Manchester United links

The agent of Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has confirmed his client's release clause amid reported interest from Manchester United.

Partey has been linked with United in recent transfer windows, and more recent reports say Inter Milan are interested in his signature. Arsenal are also said to be monitoring the midfielder.

And as the summer transfer window opened this week, Daniel Jimenez told  Passione Inter there has been no contact with Inter, but revealed how much Partey would cost any prospective buyer.

“I can say that right now, I haven’t talked to anyone, even if Inter are a top club.

“There’s a €50m release clause in his contract, a figure that’s cheap for a player like Thomas.

“We’ll wait for the season to end and then we’ll see.”

Defensive midfielder Partey, who is out of contract in 2023, spoke about his future last month, indicating he would be happy to remain at the Wanda Metropolitano.

“I’ve grown up in Atleti and I am sure I will stay here,” Parety told  Cadena COPE in April.

“I don’t know of another place that will understand how I play like they do here”.

United are expected to be in the market for another midfielder this summer after the departure of Marouane Fellaini in January and the impending exit of Ander Herrera to PSG.
