Here are your Arsenal headlines for Thursday, March 11.
Partey talks injuries
Thomas Partey has opened up on his injury struggles since arriving from Atletico Madrid on a £45million deal in the summer.
The midfielder has already missed 17 games through injury since arriving at the Emirates Stadium, but is now back fit and able to speak about the injury experience as one of the past.
"Yes, it was a difficult moment to get used to how the team play and I think the injuries are part of the adaptation and now I feel good," he said on Wednesday.
"I’m doing all the necessary ways to be able to be more fit and to be able to play more games."
Smith Rowe update
Mikel Arteta has provided an update on the fitness of Emile Smith Rowe.
The young midfielder missed the trip to Burnley after coming off against Leicester City with a hip injury but he could return for the Europa League clash with Olympiacos.
"He is close to returning," said Arteta. "He is going to have a full session today to see if he can be involved for tomorrow's game.
"After training, we will know exactly where we are with him."
Wright apologises to Lacazette
Ian Wright has apologised to Alexandre Lacazette after he mimicked the Arsenal striker's yelping while working as a pundit on BBC's Match of the Day.
Lacazette was fouled during Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Burnley last Saturday after he was introduced for Martin Odegaard, with the Gunners chasing the game in the second half.
The Frenchman fell to the floor and clutched his ankle, screaming on three different occasions in the process.
He was not treated for the apparent injury and finished the match without a hobble and was roundly criticised for overreacting with his scream, something that is more noticeable now that games are played without fan noise to drown out players' reactions.
Following Lacazette's overreaction, Wright, a former Arsenal striker and club legend, mocked him by mimicking his screaming on Match of the Day.
Wright, though, has since revealed that he apologised to Lacazette, admitting that he went too far.
"We were digging out the screaming. My biggest mistake was screaming at the end. It was stupid," Wright said on Wrighty’s House Podcast.
"It wasn’t a problem for Gary Lineker, it wasn’t a problem for Dion Dublin, but at the same time I have to realise what it means for the Arsenal fanbase to feel like one of their own is digging them out.
"I can only say I’m digging out screaming. We’re talking about people who are screaming and get up and play on."
