Thomas Partey, Houssem Aouar, Lacazette future, Runarsson and transfer latest - Arsenal live Q&A

Good afternoon and welcome to our latest Arsenal Q&A with football.london senior writer James Benge.

There are just under two weeks under the transfer window closes and though Arsenal will be happy with the business they have done so far there is still work to be done.

Goalkeeper Alex Runarsson became the fourth signing of the summer, following the permanent acquisitions of Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes and the addition of Dani Ceballos for a further year on loan.

Yet the outstanding pieces - or pieces - of business to be done are abundantly clear. Mikel Arteta wants at least one new midfielder with Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey the primary targets for strengthening the Arsenal engine room.

Mikel Arteta on Alexandre Lacazette's future and midfield transfers

Away from the transfer business that inevitably attracts the greatest fan interest Arsenal have had an encouraging start to the new season with two wins from two in their Premier League fixtures.

A 2-1 victory over West Ham was hardly easy on the eye but for a side that so rarely won ugly in past years Arsenal fans will have few complaints over their side grinding out three points with goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.

The future of the former remains one of the unanswered questions of the summer with Arteta confirming that talks are not yet underway over an extension to Lacazette's contract, which expires in two years.

.Meanwhile on the pitch Arsenal return to action on Wednesday night with a trip to Leicester City in the Carabao Cup, a match that is expected to see Arteta rotate his squad.

The likes of Reiss Nelson, Cedric and Joe Willock seem likely to feature but what of new signings Runarsson and William Saliba? Could exiles Matteo Guendouzi and Mesut Ozil also make their return?

You can discuss all that and more in our Q&A above.
