Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is back in full training.
The £45million summer signing from Atletico Madrid has missed the last six games across all competitions with a thigh injury sustained in the North London Derby defeat against Tottenham at the beginning of the month.
Partey's short-lived appearance against Spurs was his return to action after sustaining an injury before the November international break when Arsenal were beaten by Aston Villa at home.
Mikel Arteta's decision to rush the Gunners midfielder back ultimately backfired as not only did he lose the 27-year-old for several games, but also lost the game.
With that said, the Spaniard could soon be able to call upon his big-money summer signing as his side look to move up the Premier League table in the coming weeks.
As mentioned earlier, Partey has played no part in the last six Arsenal games and watched on as his teammates recorded a much-needed 3-1 win in their Boxing Day clash against Chelsea.
Although, ahead of the game at the Emirates Stadium, Partey was put through his paces at the club's London Colney training base.
It was an individual session and the best bits were uploaded to his Instagram page.
However, as expected, he was left out of the squad to face the Blues.
But speaking after the game, Arteta delivered an update on the Ghana international and confirmed his return to action was still a few days away.
"Not yet," the Arsenal boss told reporters in his post-match press conference. "He hasn't started to train with us yet so I think he's still a few more days away."
The good news for Arteta, as seen in the images above, Partey has resumed full training ahead of Tuesday evening's clash away at Brighton and Hove Albion.
Taking part in Monday's session alongside the likes of William Saliba, Alexandre Lacazette, and Nicolas Pepe, the sight of the £45m signing in training is certainly a boost for the Gunners.
But whether Partey makes the matchday squad against Brighton remains to be seen.
