Thomas Muller storms past Joachim Low as Germany stalwart unleashes furious rant after England Euro 2020 defeat

Furious Thomas Muller stormed past outgoing Germany manager Joachim Low as his side crashed out of Euro 2020.

Die Mannschaft are heading home at the last 16 stage after falling to a 2-0 loss to England at Wembley — the first time they have lost to the Three Lions in a knockout game since reunification.

Muller fluffed a massive chance to even up the game shortly after Raheem Sterling's opener on 75 minutes – and was then hooked as the game drew to a close.

The veteran attacker is so often the man for the big occasion for his country but his big miss one-on-one with Jordan Pickford would prove critical.

Harry Kane struck the final blow with four minutes to go by notching his first goal of the tournament at the fourth attempt.

It's a disastrous end to the tournament for Germany who never really looked convincing in their group and crumbled in the final stages in London. The defeat and substitution left Muller raging, who ranted and raved as he walked past Low.

Germany progressed second in a group containing world champions France and previous Euros winners Portugal.

But they looked fragile when they scraped a 2-2 draw against Hungary in the final group game.

Low is set to depart this summer to be replaced by former Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick.

Back in March 2019 he made clear Muller wouldn't be part of his squads going forward before a surprise U-turn shortly before the tournament.
