Meghan Markle's estranged father will be flying over to the UK for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee as it's unclear if his daughter and son-in-law will also make the trip.
Thomas Markle Snr, 77, said he wants to try and meet members of the royal family - especially Prince Charles.
Speaking to Dan Wotton GB News, Mr Markle said: "I'm looking forward to it.
"I'm going to show my respect for the Queen and I'm going to make sure the Queen understands my entire family respects the Queen and the royals and we admire them and we want them to know that is how we feel about them."
Mr Wootton said Mr Markle will be making the trip with GB News as the retired American lighting director added: "I really would like to meet with Prince Charles and thank him for walking my daughter down the aisle and to sit down and talk to him.
"We have a lot in common now, we've both been ghosted by our children."
When asked if thought he would be able to meet Prince Harry and Meghan if they also came for the Jubilee, he was optimistic.
He said tonight: "I'm getting the feeling that if they know I'm coming they won't come but if they do come I would love to reach out and speak with them and speak about what went wrong and how to repair it...don't see it happening but I would certainly like to try."
However, Mr Markle didn't hold back on calling his son-in-law an "idiot" over the concerns about security and criticising his daughter for travelling to see the Queen with Archie and Lillibet.
He said: "I think it is ridiculous. he knows how much security they are going to have.
"He is totally safe in that situation and my god I don't understand half the things he says.
"I have so little respect for that man and I think he's an idiot...and to come over and not bring the children...most mothers don't leave a nine-month-old behind...that is one thing that really bothers me..the idea that they won't feel safe is ridiculous."
He added: "Not bringing the children is another slap in the face to the queen and it was the wrong thing to do and it makes no sense at all.
"The Queen should have every right to see her great-grandchildren and I should have the right to see my grandchildren."
Mr Markle also made another dig at his son-in-law and bizarrely called his military career into question.
He said: "He's not a man...you can tell me he was in the military and I don't believe it. He's a wuss. He's got a brother that's a real man."
Last week Harry claimed he is making sure the Queen has "the right people around her" to "protect" her in his latest revealing interview.
The Duke of Sussex told America's the Today Show that it felt great being back with his grandmother but insisted the US was now his "home" - for the time being.
He said: "Being with her, it was great. It was just so nice to see her … She’s on great form. She's always got a great sense of humour with me and I'm just making sure she's protected and got the right people around her."
Mr Markle's comments come as he's previously told close pal Karl Larsen he is ready to give evidence against her in a court case brought by her half-sister Samantha.
He said he would be 'thrilled' to come face-to-face with his estranged daughter and her husband Prince Harry.
Mr Markle also previously said he believed his eldest daughter should win her case and revealed he would be willing to give evidence on her behalf.
The lawsuit was first revealed by the Sunday Mirror in November and was formally lodged in Florida last month.
Samantha, 57, is suing her half-sister Meghan for $75,000 (£57,000), claiming she lied about her to the authors of controversial book Finding Freedom and in her TV interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Michael Kump, representing Meghan, called the lawsuit "baseless and absurd" and a "continuation of a pattern of disturbing behaviour".
He added: "We will give [the lawsuit] the minimum attention necessary, which is all it deserves."
