Thomas Kristensen 'watched' by Rangers as towering Danish defender 'visits' Ibrox to ramp up transfer bid

Danish defender Thomas Kristensen has reportedly been scouted by Rangers - with claims in his homeland suggesting he has already visited Ibrox with a view to a summer move.

Michael Beale has been open about the scale of the summer rebuild he hopes to put in place for the Light Blues, with a host of out of contract players set to head for the exit door as the boss reshapes his squad. At the heart of defence, the likes of Filip Helander could be heading out of the club after an injury-hampered career at Rangers when his deal expires at the end of the campaign, while versatile James Sands has already returned to the MLS after his New York City loan was cut short.

John Souttar is slowly working his way back to fitness having made an appearance in the Glasgow Cup clash with Celtic, but Beale will likely be keen on adding depth at centre-back to provide competition for Connor Goldson and Ben Davies. BT Sporten now claim that AGF Aahrus defender Kristensen has been "watched" by the Ibrox scouts while on a tour of Scandinavia.

The 21-year-old is in the midst of his breakthrough campaign in the Danish Superliga, racking up 20 appearances so far this season and helping his side to fourth spot in the table. Kristensen has been capped up to Danish under-21 level, and it is claimed he is "keen" on a move to the Scottish Premiership.

It is stated that the towering centre-back has already "visited" Ibrox as he looks to seal a move to the club. However, he is under contract with AGF until 2026.
