Thomas Gravesen laps up Celtic hero's welcome as fans serenade former Parkhead star

Thomas Gravesen is a man made for Scottish football in 2020.

His short-lived Celtic spell, pre-social media age, would've made him a Scottish football patter sensation in this day and age.

The Danish midfielder is one of football's real characters, as the many anecdotes concerning his Parkhead stint have proved.

Signed from Real Madrid by Gordon Strachan in 2006, Gravesen spent only two years in Glasgow but fans clearly haven't forgotten him.

Now 43, he was on punditry duty for Celtic's Europa League draw with Copenhagen on Thursday night.

Footage has since emerged of Gravesen being spotted by travelling supporters and being given a hero's reception.

Pundits in close proximity to fans are often at risk of copping some stick but the former Real Madrid man needn't have worried.

Gravesen was quick to show his appreciation as the sound of "Oh Tommy, Tommy" rang out around the Telia Parken.
