Thomas Frank talks up 'unbelievable' Liverpool rebuild ahead of Brentford visit

Brentford head coach Thomas Frank will prepare his side for what he feels is arguably the toughest test in the Premier League when they head to Liverpool on Sunday.

The Bees travel to Anfield aiming for fourth straight league win, with their last away day ending in a memorable 2-0 victory at Chelsea.

Liverpool have won every home game so far, eight through all competitions, and Reds boss Jurgen Klopp will be expecting a response following a 3-2 Europa League defeat away in Toulouse on Thursday night.

Having been within moments of victory at Old Trafford in October before a stoppage-time double from Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay turned the match around, Frank is expecting another another tough challenge ahead this weekend if his side are to leave Merseyside with a positive result.

"For five years, Liverpool have been one of the top teams not just in the Premier League, but the world," Frank said at a press conference.

"They have a fantastic coach and staff, with great players.

"They have new energy in their squad with some of their new signings - (Dominik) Szoboszlai is a fantastic player.

"(Darwin) Nunez is getting closer to his top, and (Diogo) Jota is a top player. (Luis) Diaz - I'm pleased to hear his parents are now safe - is a fantastic player, and then you have the standout guy, 25 plus goals, (Mohamed) Salah.

"It is an unbelievable team at Anfield - one of the most difficult away grounds to go to, if not the most difficult.

"It will be a tough test, but as always, we trust ourselves. We will try to take the game to Liverpool."

Frank expects goalkeeper Mark Flekken to be available for Sunday's trip north.

The Netherlands international was taken off during half-time against West Ham last weekend because of a dead leg, but has been able to resume full training.

Brentford have several players closing in on a return. Josh Dasilva, Keane Lewis-Potter and Mikkel Damsgaard are all stepping up their recovery along with Shandon Baptiste and Myles Peart-Harris.
