Thomas Frank has played down the need for Tottenham to sign a centre-back in the last few days of the transfer window.
Spurs were believed to be targeting three signings heading into the final week of the window and have ticked one of those off after Xavi Simons arrived from RB Leipzig for just over £51million.
The club are hoping to add another winger to the squad before Monday's deadline and a centre-back signing has also been on Spurs' agenda.
Standard Sport understands that there is interest in Manchester City's Manuel Akanji, but no formal bid has yet been made for the Swiss defender.
Spurs have let Luka Vuskovic join Hamburg on loan for the season and with Kota Takai and Radu Dragusin currently out injured, it leaves Frank with limited depth should there be an injury to first-choice pairing Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.
However, Frank insisted he is confident in the options available to him, particularly with those injured players stepping up their recovery.
"We have right now three centre backs: Micky, Romero, [Kevin] Danso," Frank said.
"Ben can play there if necessary. We have Kota the young central defender we bought this summer and is running now and training with the team next week. Or training with the ball, there’s not many left behind.
"And then Dragusin is coming back in a couple of months, so I think that should be enough."

Asked if that meant Spurs did not need to sign another centre-back in the current window, Frank responded: "Not as it stands, no."
Dragusin has been out since suffering an ACL injury in February. Although he is set to be back in team training during the international break, Spurs will be cautious over his return to action.
“Dragusin is on the way back and he's been running for a while,” Frank said.
“I think he should join the team in a week's time, 10 days' time, I think that's the thing, so that's positive, but of course it is an ACL. I'm always a little bit more, not worried, but just aware that it takes time.
“When you've been out of football for nine months, you know, you need to get in. It's not enough to have a six-week pre-season. You need to take a little bit more time, but it's positive and and some surprise and come back quicker, of course.”
