A city centre restaurant served up some solidarity with former employees of the crisis-hit Thomas Cook yesterday.
Min Grill in Bath Street dished out more than 50 free breakfasts to workers who attended a support session at Unite's West Regent Street base, which is just around the corner.
Kieran Adie, from the eatery, said: "This was a great success and Mini Grill served over 50 staff ahead of their support session at Unite Union.”
The team sa: "We were sorry to learn of the Thomas Cook news and everyone far and wide, some of them good friends, who have been affected.
The good will gesture is the latest offered in Glasgow after the travel firm collapsed last week, leaving millions of passengers and staff stranded across the globe, and distraught workers without pay.
